I've been looking for the article for quite a few days now. The local community paper was not delivered to my house for the strangest reason. But Marilyn of Arabella Fashion Studio, one of my sponsors, paid attention and found it! Thank you, Marilyn, you are the best!
So here it goes:
"Pair ride and climb for health
Two [bleeep] residents are taking part in unique events to help raise money for cancer and clean air.[bleep] resident Christina [bleeep] will be donning her bike helmet for a grueling two-day cycling trip in the Ride to Conquer Cancer while [bleep] Sarah [bleeep] will be Climbing the Wall to benefit lung cancer research.
[Christina], who also works at the [bleeep], is already an avid cyclist — she recently spent two weeks traveling through the Netherlands by bike (Recently?! It's been 20 years exactly! Haha!) — and is looking forward to June’s Vancouver to Seattle trip.
“It’s a wonderful way of raising money and it’s an amazing idea,” she said, adding she hadn’t heard of the annual event until this year. (True that!)
She’s been training regularly on a stationary and with long rides on her new bike, so it’s not the long distance that’s worrying her.
“That’s the least of my worries, there’s no doubt in my mind,” [Christina] said. (True that, too!)
It’s the fundraising part that has her concerned — cyclists must raise at least $2,500 to take part in the trip.
As she wrote on her blog, Bruning is having a hard time canvassing family, friends and co-workers for cash (Oh? did I? Where?) but is confident she’ll meet her goal before getting to the start line.

How do you like that?
